ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to join our National Accounts team, reporting directly to the National Accounts Sales Manager. This is a national role, 100% field based, covering England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

As a Key Account Manager in the National Accounts Team, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets for Bridgestone and Firestone car, van, and 4x4 tyres. Your focus will be on providing exceptional service and building strong business relationships with the UK’s largest tyre and automotive retailers & distributors. You will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual sales targets, volume growth, and profitability within assigned key accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for national key accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in key accounts.
  • Be the main point of contact between Bridgestone and national account clients.
  • Work closely with supply chain, marketing, technical services, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Lead pricing negotiations, contractual agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with key accounts
  • Monitor tyre industry trends, fleet dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Resolve escalated issues swiftly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Implement customer retention strategies to protect and grow key relationships.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education, Master, other certification:

  • Full UK Driving licence - Ability to travel across the UK as required.

Experience:

B2B sales or key account management, ideally in automotive, tyres, or industrial goods.

Experience in tyre industry, automotive aftermarket, or fleet solutions is highly desirable.

Sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven track record managing national-level accounts, fleets, or OEM relationships.
  • Strong strategic sales planning, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of contract management, pricing structures, and volume-based agreements.
  • Strong business and financial analysis skills to manage margins, budgets, and account profitability.
  • Ability to deliver high-impact presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
