Overview

Motability Account Manager – Chester (Hybrid) – £26,748.00

9am - 6pm (40 hours a week)

Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? At Proximo, the UK's leading provider of specialist and adapted replacement vehicles, we are committed to keeping people on the move. When vehicles are out of action, we provide replacement vehicles, ensuring our customers maintain their independence and mobility.

What makes this role different?

Our account managers aren’t just ticking boxes, they’re making a real difference every day. You’ll be the key point of contact for our Motability customers, many of whom come from vulnerable backgrounds. You’ll listen to their stories, understand the accidents they’ve been involved in, and work hard to find the most suitable replacement vehicle to help them stay independent.

Responsibilities

No two days are the same here. You’ll be:

  • Speaking with customers and our branch teams, getting to the heart of what’s happened in each individual case.
  • Reviewing accident details and assessing whether we can provide a hire vehicle.
  • Have open, supportive conversations with customers.
  • Working closely with our network to make sure the right vehicle gets to the right person, quickly and efficiently.

Full training will be provided. You'll be supported every step of the way as you get to grips with our vehicles, systems, and how to find the best fit for each customer.

A few key things you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing your own caseload and seeing each case through from start to finish.
  • Organising vehicle hires and making sure deliveries happen on time.
  • Liaising with our branches and regional managers to support smooth operations.
  • Sourcing alternative vehicles when needed to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Keeping customer records updated using our bespoke internal system.
  • Identifying individual customer needs and finding solutions that strike the right balance between being supportive and practical.

Qualifications

  • Empathy and great communication skills – you’ll genuinely care about your customers and their experience.
  • Someone who’s confident, self-motivated, and well-organised – you’ll manage your own workload and respond quickly when things are urgent.
  • Experience in the vehicle or hire sector is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Most of all, a positive, problem-solving mindset.

What will we offer you?

As an Investors in People GOLD standard employer and a member of the Inclusive Employers Group, we invest in your development and provide the latest technology, support, and knowledge to help you deliver excellent service to our customers.

  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays and your birthday off)
  • Hybrid working after 3 months of probation
  • Healthcare plan via Medicash, covering optical, dental, and physiotherapy
  • Funded Summer and Christmas company events
  • Enhanced paternity and maternity leave

  • Tech Scheme
