Intertek Hardlines and Softlines are currently recruiting for Global Business Manager to identify and secure sales opportunities within new and existing retailer and major brand accounts to broaden Intertek’s Softlines and Hardlines revenue.

About You

As the Global Business Manager, you will be a driven and sales-orientated individual who has a background within National Account Management, preferably within a retailer environment. Please note, this is a remote working position covering UK, Benelux & Nordics.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good IT literacy skills – Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Driven and energised – can work independently
  • UK Driver’s license (essential): company car or car allowance provided
  • Experience of the Testing, Inspection & Certification industry is preferred but not essential.

About the Opportunity

As the Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing sales opportunities within new and existing retailer and major brand accounts to broaden Intertek’s Softlines and Hardlines revenue.

Key activities

  • Delivery of sales targets.
  • Can create and deliver strategic account partnerships
  • Serving as liaison between the retailer and Intertek global operations to ensure consistent execution of customer’s requirements according to specified processes and protocols.
  • Produce compelling and innovative proposals based on solution-selling principles.
  • Creates and delivers compelling client presentations with regularly scheduled business review meetings.
  • Drives and generates opportunities for revenue growth consistent with Intertek global key account initiatives and strategies.
  • Produces and embeds contact matrices to ensure all relevant parties (internal and external) are updated on all relevant requirements.
  • Participates and leads the customer meetings with QA, technologists, CSR contacts and other stakeholders.
  • Provides oversight, accurate status and reporting of key client initiatives to client team members.
  • Expedites projects as needed to ensure turnaround times and performance metrics are met.
  • Prepares sales reports, forecasts, and provide regular account status updates through established CRM system, including the development of account-based strategies (Strategic Account Plan).
