A growing accountancy practice in Weston-Super-Mare is recruiting an Accounts Senior to provide year end accounts, tax and wider service provision to a varied client base. The role offers increasing responsibility and technical skill development as you progress.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for hands-on provision of year end accounts preparation, tax (personal and corporate), VAT, bookkeeping and other services for a wide spectrum of clients (sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, SMEs, not-for-profit/charity).
• Maintain a quality compliance service while developing client contact and building relationships with clients.
• Prepare accounts and tax returns and provide other accounting services as required.
• Contribute to the firm’s growth with opportunities for long-term career progression and access to study support.

Qualifications

• Background in accountancy practice, with experience as an Accounts Technician / Senior Accountant or similar role (Accounts and Tax Senior, Semi-Senior, etc.).
• Either AAT qualified/studying or pursuing ACCA/ACA; may be from industry experience or a combination thereof.
• Willingness to study with available study support and a clear route to progression within the firm.

Job Offer / Benefits

• Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 depending on background and experience.
• Hybrid working and full or part-time hours available.
