Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for accurately extracting and translating clinical information from patient records into coded data using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications, in accordance with National Clinical Coding Standards. This coded information plays a vital role in supporting the HealthHarmonie and Trust, clinical governance, audit, commissioning and performance monitoring.

As an Accredited Clinical Coder, you will code inpatient episodes independently, including complex cases, ensuring accurate and timely submissions in line with HealthHarmonie and Trust's targets. You will also liaise with clinical staff to clarify documentation where necessary.
