Activities Co-ordinator
New Today
Overview
About The Role
This role could be full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time (20 hours per week). Shifts and hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview. As an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. Residents are people with their own stories, and joining HC-One provides an opportunity to give something back to them.
As an Activities Co-ordinator at Brinnington Hall, you will plan and implement activities that delight Residents, assist the Home Manager with essential fundraising events, and involve the care home team in activities with a focus on kindness.
HC-One is seeking someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals and, ideally, developing activity programmes. The role also requires positive energy, the ability to get along with people, strong planning, organisational and IT skills, and effective time management. When communicating with Residents or co-workers, you should be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as appropriate. You should seek appropriate advice and report concerns, escalating if necessary when action is not taken.
About HC-One
At HC-One, kindness is more than a word—it’s a way of life. We support residents to live their best lives and champion five key qualities, which we call the Kindness HC-One Way:
- We are curious—asking questions, seeking to understand.
- We are compassionate—walking in the shoes of others.
- We are creative—finding practical ways to make things happen.
- We are courageous—supporting residents to live the life they choose.
- We are dependable—people can always count on us.
We champion inclusivity and value a diverse workforce. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and prioritise inclusive working practices across everything we do.
We are enhancing resident support through digital care planning. This technology helps streamline care, improve outcomes, and make daily tasks more efficient. We support team members who are comfortable with technology or willing to learn, with guidance provided along the way.
We care about our colleagues and support personal and professional development. From the job offer onward, HC-One aims for a quick start with full support, clear career pathways, continuous professional development, and opportunities at regional and national levels.
Please note: We can only consider applications from individuals who already have full right to work in the UK. We cannot sponsor or accept applications from those on time-limited visas. Applications not meeting this criteria will not be progressed.
