We are currently recruiting for an Actuarial Data & MI Consultant to join our established and experienced team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your role
The role is a member of the Actuarial Function and Operational team and is focused on the data responsibilities for the team, ensuring this accurately feeds into the actuarial process. The key purpose of the role is responsibility for extracting, transferring and loading all kinds of data required for the Corporate Actuarial process.
These processes are run monthly, quarterly and annually as required. The outputs are used to generate the base products (such as reporting tables and ResQ input files) that form the foundation of the data inputs to the Corporate Actuarial process (e.g. reserve review analysis, SII/UK, IFRS17, audit, self-service).
The role requires working with colleagues in CIO (and externally, such as Wipro) regarding the databases, servers and any other infrastructure involved as well as Finance (given our closely aligned data needs) to ensure our actuarial data requirements are met. Given the dependency on data and systems, the role holder will embrace change, supporting improved technology and efficiency, and ensure that the team strives for best-in-class standards.
About you
You will have experience in the successful delivery and ongoing operation of data solutions. You thrive on evolving data needs and are skilled at leveraging emerging technologies and techniques to ensure that data, systems, and processes remain fit-for-purpose and aligned with high-performing business capabilities.
You bring a current understanding of data, systems, infrastructure, and are committed to keeping your knowledge up to date. Your expertise is complemented by a solid grasp of Actuarial Analysis requirements, enabling you to ensure that data needs are appropriately identified and met.
You will be comfortable working closely with UK Actuarial Managers as well as senior stakeholders across the business.
