Overview

Part / Qualified Pensions Actuary (Global Leader) opportunity within a long-established Retirement Solutions Practice. Attractive salary (negotiable) plus benefits. Hybrid-working (50/50).

A true behemoth of the global Financial Services industry, staffed by experienced actuaries. The role is suitable for a part-qualified or relatively junior Actuary seeking career progression, with a personalised training and development plan aligned to your knowledge and qualification level.

Responsibilities

  • Inherit a portfolio of trustee and corporate accounts and perform work within your delegation.
  • Carry out technical calculations and draft advice papers; set and negotiate budgets.
  • Lead client meetings and calls or support a Scheme Actuary or Client Manager.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and implement changes while ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, business and professional standards.
  • Work rotations through Corporate and Trustee consulting groups and interact with specialist teams (Risk Settlement, Member Options, Investment, Delegated Consulting & DC).

Qualifications

  • Excellent numeracy and IT skills.
  • Minimum of a 2:1 degree in a numerate subject.
  • Part or Qualified Actuary with practical experience in a pensions or actuarial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of delivering high-quality client service.

Working arrangements and location

  • Hybrid/flexible working; typically 2-3 days per week in the office.
  • Office locations across the UK include Birmingham, Bristol, Epsom, Farnborough, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Manchester, St. Albans (flexible/part-time arrangements can be accommodated).
