We’re supporting a well-established firm seeking a Finance Systems Manager who will lead and enhance system-driven finance operations. This role offers the unique flexibility to work on-site or fully remote from Jersey, Guernsey, or the UK.

This position is ideal for a tech-savvy finance professional who thrives on problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and owns system performance. Strong hands-on experience with extensive Aderant experience in a professional services firm (preferably a law firm) is essential. This is the main focus of this position and our client is only keen to speak to candidates who can demonstrate this experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all Aderant system queries, issues, and enhancements
• Lead core Aderant system upgrades, functional rollouts, and ongoing maintenance
• Oversee daily finance operations and ensure systems support accurate transaction processing
• Align finance systems and processes with strategic business goals
• Introduce scalable, efficient processes and maintain robust internal controls
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver system-driven solutions
• Support financial reporting, audit readiness, and risk management

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within professional services environment
• Demonstrable experience managing or supporting Aderant (in a law firm or complex operations)
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and reporting tools (SSRS, BI platforms)
• Able to translate technical solutions into business impact
