Advisory Board Member – Investor (Investors Only - Target Region: South Asia)

Role: Volunteer Advisory Board Member (non-executive). Senior investment professionals with a passion for supporting high-potential SMEs in the Global South are invited to join and help shape and expand capital-raising capabilities across emerging markets. This is a voluntary position without payment or compensation.

Target Region: South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal). Industry: International Investors - VC/PE/PC/FOF/Family Office/Institutional Investor, etc.

Note: If you are not an international investor focusing on emerging market SMEs, do not apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen and invest in highly promising companies (as needed to advise on capital mobilization)
• Provide strategic oversight and market insights related to capital mobilization for SMEs in emerging markets
• Contribute to fund structuring, syndication, and innovative capital strategy design
• Advise on pipeline quality, investor alignment, and deal execution standards
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Executive Team and Co-founders

Ideal Profile

• At least 15 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, private debt, development finance, or structured capital advisory
• Demonstrated track record in raising capital for businesses across Asia, Africa, or Latin America
• Deep network among SME-focused investors, funds, DFIs, or high-net-worth investors
• Strong understanding of capital structuring, due diligence, term negotiation, and emerging market funding constraints
• Willingness to contribute time and insights voluntarily in an impactful and flexible capacity
