Role and Responsibilities

As an AI Research Scientist, you will be part of a dynamic team working on next-generation machine learning technologies for real-world deployment on consumer devices. Your role will involve:

-Driving research and development in areas such as on-device large language and vision-language models (LLMs/VLMs), adaptive inference, and efficient mobile ML systems.
-Contributing to both ongoing research agendas and helping define new directions that push the boundaries of AI on edge devices.
-Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across research and product engineering to transition ML innovations from prototypes into production.
-Designing and developing novel machine learning algorithms and system-level optimizations that enable scalable, high-performance AI experiences on-device.
-Translating theoretical work into applied solutions and supporting the commercialization of AI technologies for deployment at scale.
-Preparing technical documentation, contributing to publications, and supporting the creation of patents.
-Working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment that values knowledge sharing, innovation, and personal development.

Skills and Qualifications

Education & Experience:

-PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent research experience in industry or academia.
-Open to applicants across a range of seniority levels with relevant expertise.
Core Skills:

-Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
-Experience in efficient ML techniques (e.g., quantization, pruning, sparsity, distillation).
-Practical knowledge of AI deployment on embedded/mobile platforms, including CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.
-Hands-on experience with multi-GPU or distributed training at scale.
-Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and familiarity with Linux-based systems.
-Competency with tools such as Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
-Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable:

-A strong publication record in top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, MLSys, MobiSys, ICCAD, MobiCom).
