Arcus FM are looking for a talented React Native App Developer to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that meet the evolving needs of our business and clients.
You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions, delivering real impact from day one. If you're passionate about clean code, user-friendly experiences, and staying ahead of the tech curve, we’d love to hear from you.
Although this role allows for primarily remote working, there is a requirement to attend the Redditch office at least once a month.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design & Development: Write, test, and deploy clean, efficient code for a variety of mobile applications
- System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and security
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to ensure seamless user experiences
- Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation to support development processes and knowledge sharing
- Innovation: Research and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance products and workflows
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience in mobile development using React Native
- Proficiency with tools like Expo, Redux, and React Navigation
- Solid experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party SDK integrations
- Familiarity with mobile databases and local storage solutions
- Strong understanding of deployment to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Awareness of modern development trends and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to optimise applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Strong communication skills – able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
