I am seeking an ASIC Design Engineer to join an innovative, deep-tech AI company that is a recognised leader in its field.
This role can be based at one of several UK locations, including Reading. Living and working in Reading, Berkshire, offers the perfect balance between city energy and countryside calm. Just 25 minutes from London by train, Reading is a thriving commercial and technology hub — home to leading employers in engineering, fintech, and IT, as well as a growing start‑up scene. The town combines modern amenities and vibrant nightlife with green open spaces and scenic riverside walks along the Thames.
Key Responsibilities
- Define block- and top-level specifications for high-speed digital circuits that meet key performance targets based on system-level requirements.
- Specify analog/digital interfaces in close collaboration with analog and mixed-signal design teams.
- Design, implement, and test RTL code.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical ability to translate system-level requirements into detailed design specifications.
- Hands‑on experience in PHY design for high-speed interfaces (e.g., USB4, PCIe) is highly desirable.
- Advanced understanding of high-speed and low-power design techniques.
Experience & Qualifications
- MSc in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent/higher degree).
- Strong technical background inhigh-speed digital circuit design using advanced CMOS technologies.
- Exposure to analog design techniques is an advantage.
