Overview Artistic Design Director – Luxury British Sculpture Brand. Lead the creative direction for David Harber’s New, Bespoke, and Classic collections, while inspiring a talented team and engaging international audiences. Location & Travel Didcot, Oxfordshire HQ (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office) + Travel minimum 6 times per year, representing the brand globally. Responsibilities

Own the full design process from research and ideation to concept and innovation, translating creative direction into elegant, commercially successful products. Lead and develop the creative team; foster curiosity, push boundaries, and drive exceptional results with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing. Act as a global ambassador for the brand; represent David Harber at design events, lead CPDs, and build influential networks in the luxury design world. Transform client briefs into inspiring bespoke proposals; experiment with materials and finishes; manage multiple projects from sketch to proposal. Mentor and lead senior designers, setting standards for design excellence and innovation; collaborate with senior leaders to guide the business forward. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to unify teams around bold ideas and shared success.

What you’ll shape

Drive David Harber’s creative vision for New, Bespoke, and Classic products; ensure products are elegant and commercially successful. Lead client brief translation into inspiring bespoke proposals; manage design exploration and final execution. Represent the brand at major UK and international design events and build a global network within the luxury design community. Lead and mentor the creative team, maintaining a strong strategic vision in collaboration with senior leaders.

About You You’ll bring a degree in visual or product design (or equivalent experience) with senior-level expertise, ideally in the luxury sector. You should have:

Strong grasp of historical, classical, and contemporary design; balance creativity with commercial awareness. Excellent face-to-face client interaction, translating complex briefs into elegant solutions. Exceptional communication and networking skills; proven experience leading, motivating, and developing a creative team. A positive, open approach with the ability to inspire clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
