About the Role
To provide administrative and coordination support to the Business Development team, assisting with the planning and delivery of internal and external business development activities. The role will support the maintenance of the CRM system; help prepare reports and presentations and contribute to research and event coordination.
What you'll be doing
- Assist in organising internal and external business development meetings and events.
- Support the maintenance and accuracy of the CRM system, including data entry and basic reporting.
- Help prepare briefing notes, presentations, and customer-facing materials.
- Conduct desk-based research on market trends, customers, and competitors.
- Provide administrative support to the wider Business Development and Account Management teams.
- Assist in posting content on internal and external communication channels.
- Attend meetings and events as required to support coordination and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate records and support the production of governance documentation (e.g., Gate Packs).
- Support the events calendar and booking process.
- Attend events as required to represent the business in the rail industry.
Who we're looking for
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Customer-focused mindset.
Desirable
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics).
- Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role.
- Interest in business development or marketing.
