The Opportunity

Hinkley Point ‘C’ (HPC) is a vital part of the UK’s future energy strategy. As the first of the UK’s next nuclear power stations, HPC is high profile and complex. The project involves multi-disciplinary teams. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will oversee activities related to the full life cycle of major contracts, reporting directly to the Project Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and handover activities, in line with the project schedule.

Pay, Benefits, and Culture

The salary range is between £35,000 - £45,000. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme and flexible benefits such as enhanced parental leave, electric vehicle leasing, health insurance, product discounts, critical illness insurance, technology vouchers, gym membership, and season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility and support collaboration, whether working in the office, on-site, or remotely. Our priority is to ensure you feel safe, valued, and included. We promote diversity and inclusion, supporting social mobility and equitable opportunities. Please let us know if you need reasonable adjustments during your application process.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will assist and support the Project Manager in delivering the HPC project and contract scope. Your responsibilities include liaising with key teams, developing and supporting management systems, ensuring timely and budget-compliant technical work, and supporting project controls and documentation processes. You will also help implement wider NNB arrangements and support the application of Earned Value Management (EVM). Additionally, you will assist technical contract leads in dealings with suppliers.

Who You Are

You are a highly skilled professional with strong communication and people management abilities. A degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Membership with the Association of Project Managers (APM) or knowledge of its principles is beneficial. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong relationship-building abilities, and experience in budget analysis and forecasting. You can work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work independently with precision. French speaking skills are advantageous.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! The closing date for applications is 27th July 2025.
