We operate on an office-based contract model, but support hybrid working where possible. This means you’ll need to be based within reasonable travel distance of the office and able to attend in person when business needs require, typically 3 days per week, though this may vary by team or project. Flexibility to be on site when needed is essential.

Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.

Salary: £42,000 – £52,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

Following on from the success of the new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project in Suffolk is the UK’s next nuclear power new build project. The project has obtained planning approval and has started construction works. It has recently achieved Financial Investment Decision (FID) meaning that all the funding for the full lifespan of the project is now secured and in place guaranteeing the full delivery of this new nuclear power station. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We’re recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to support this unique project, as we enter critical phases across a number of our delivery programmes.

Assistant Project Manager – Conventional Island (Turbine building)

As part of the Conventional Island sub-programme team you will help deliver 2 x 1750 MW Arabelle Solutions turbine islands on a turnkey basis spanning design and replication, procurement, manufacturing, installation and finally commissioning all power generating equipment of the conventional island, Including opportunities to work on the development of new novel first of kind technologies.

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of this complex infrastructure project. This role is ideal for someone with a background in engineering (preferably mechanical or electrical) or experience in working in large infrastructure projects.

You will work alongside experienced Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to ensure the safe, timely, and compliant execution of critical contracts supporting nuclear construction and commissioning. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of logistics, asset management, and supply chain strategies that are essential to the success of nuclear-grade systems and components.

Who You Are

We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support project delivery in technically complex and fast-paced environments, where safety, security, and environmental responsibility are paramount. Ideally you’ll bring experience from the nuclear energy sector or another similarly regulated industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: with the ability to work across multiple project stakeholder groups and individuals.

Attention to detail: ensure accuracy of data / information collection and reporting.

Teamwork: collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Adaptability: work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
