Responsibilities

  • Run through design information and liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
  • Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
  • Help inform the design team about changes that could increase the safety of the building.
  • Engage with a variety of projects from universities to high-rise towers, including international assignments, with a focus on enabling innovative architectural design while ensuring fire safety.
  • Be guided through software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the outset.
  • Assist the successful candidate toward professional registration via IFE and other professional bodies as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
  • This role can be based from any of WSP's major UK offices.

Development & Training
