We are looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Team.

The role reports to the Cloud Platform Operations Manager, and you will assist in the operation and smooth running of the Azure platform to ensure it meets and exceeds our customers expectations.

You will work closely with team engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security and scalability, and you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.

About you

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience with a major cloud provider, and is looking to join a growing team to support a large retail enterprise platform. The candidate should understand the importance of cloud technology within a fast-paced retail environment and be willing to drive change and support teams to meet business needs.

Required

  • Good technical knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues & analyse complex problems
  • Desire to learn & develop in a dynamic environment
  • Clear & effective written & verbal communication skills
  • Customer focused mindset

Desirable

  • Certifications such as Azure Administrator, Terraform Associate
  • Awareness of monitoring, alerting & telemetry tools
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, Firewalls, VNET etc.)
  • Familiarity with languages such as PowerShell
