Associate Director – Supply Chain & Logistics. Location: UK Flexible – Located close to Woking, Worsley, Sheffield or Wolverhampton preferred. Hours: Monday to Friday, no weekends. Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 + Bonus + Benefits.

This is an exciting, high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the strategic vision of our Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport and Planning operations across the UK & Ireland. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Operations & Services, you will lead a central team of subject matter experts, driving operational excellence, embedding best practices and ensuring cross-business alignment. Your mission will be to create a safe, compliant, resilient, and sustainable supply chain network that delivers efficiency, reliability, and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the supply chain and logistics strategy for UK & Ireland in collaboration with Business Units, global experts and senior stakeholders
  • Develop forward-looking strategies that address people, processes, systems and infrastructure across planning, transport, and logistics
  • Anticipate market trends and position the business to remain ahead of industry shifts
  • Act as the central authority for supply chain alignment across Business Units
  • Resolve conflicts, bridge gaps and ensure decisions deliver benefit across the end-to-end network
  • Provide governance to maintain a resilient and efficient supply chain
  • Drive data-led decision making through robust KPIs, dashboards and benchmarking
  • Lead productivity and innovation initiatives, introducing new tools, technologies and ways of working
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all operations
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory and internal standards across supply chain and logistics
  • Provide oversight of transport technical authority, licensing, maintenance and customs/import-export activities
  • Lead fleet strategy and lifecycle planning, including investment and renewal decisions
  • Act as signatory for fleet-related CapEx and leasing
  • Manage third-party contractors and logistics partners, ensuring value, compliance, and service excellence
  • Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing central team of supply chain experts
  • Act as a trusted partner to Business Units, providing knowledge, tools and practical support to drive performance.

Person Specification

  • Proven ability to set a strategic vision and translate it into actionable plans
  • Experienced change leader with a track record of driving operational improvement
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, able to engage effectively at all levels across a matrix organisation
  • Collaborative, inclusive and integrity-driven leadership style
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics, supply chain and transport operations
  • Familiarity with planning and scheduling systems (desirable)
  • Understanding of contractual frameworks and import/export processes (desirable)
