This high-profile leadership role will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined, company-wide team to capture and then execute delivery of major training transformational contracts in the UK and internationally. This is a P&L leadership role with expected revenue in 2025 in excess of $100m, projecting to grow significantly in the long‑range plan. It is a complex and challenging role that is both highly rewarding and high profile, with extensive communication and interfacing requirements with UK MoD and other customer and partner organisations. It demands excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of energy and stamina.
Responsibilities
Spearhead the use of RTX CORE operating system to develop and maintain an inclusive, agile and innovation‑led culture in Raytheon UK’s TTS Mission Area
Oversee the financial performance of the TTS Mission Area, plan and deliver investments and other business ventures and synergies
Develop and execute Raytheon UK’s TTS Mission Area strategy
Lead, inspire and motivate the TTS Mission Area team and implement business plans, growing the TTS Mission Area to agreed targets and commitments
Deliver TTS Mission Area programmes within agreed budgets using Earned Value and other KPI techniques, delivering each contracted milestone to agreed performance, cost and schedule commitment
Build long‑term, trusting relationships with the TTS team, industry, partners, authorities and the wider RTX team
Identify customer decision‑makers and influencers, their interrelationships and their mission requirements to ensure that solutions are accurate, focused, planned and well‑executed
Facilitate complex problem‑solving initiatives with technical competence and the ability to think through strategic solutions from the customers’, company’s and partners’ perspectives
Provide strategic advice to the Raytheon UK Senior Leadership Team on the TTS domain
Deliver public speaking and representational appearances at RTX conferences and company town halls
Identify and leverage customer decision‑makers and influencers and their interrelationships throughout the capture process to assure capture is properly customer‑focused, planned and executed
Work as a key and active member of the Mission Area team, collaborating across the Missions and Functions to achieve overall business goals and objectives and contributing to both short‑ and long‑term business planning and forecasting

Qualifications
Essential
Relevant, recent, demonstrable experience of successful business winning and programme execution in a highly regulated and/or controlled environment
Proven ability as a team player who works well with others and builds lasting, constructive relationships both with the customer and inside the business
Demonstrable experience of senior customer stakeholder engagement specifically with military customers
Demonstrate role‑model high‑performance culture behaviours
A capable leader and influencer, able to effect change through the matrix organisation, even where direct hierarchical control does not exist
Supportive, with the character to anticipate and navigate sensitive and pressurised situations to overcome delivery challenges
Able to engage with technical experts with credibility and understanding
Drive to create change and continuously improve performance
Creative and open to innovation in order to solve complex problems
An able communicator in verbal, written and presentational forms, including at board level and especially to the customer
Energy and drive – willing to travel extensively within the UK and internationally
Desirable
Degree in engineering or business management
Thorough understanding of the customer (Raytheon US, UK MoD, foreign governments and military) and a background in defence
Member of a relevant Engineering or Programme Management Professional Institution
Experience of working in different country cultures with an ability to establish and nurture customer relationships
