Associate Technical Trainer – Green Energy (Flexible / Part-Time)

Salary: £300 to £500 per day based on experience

Location: North West or South East England

What the role involves

• Delivering short, high‑impact boot‑camp sessions in topics such as solar, wind, hydrogen, electrical theory or power conversion
• Using pre‑prepared materials — no need to write full lesson plans
• Making technical ideas feel simple, useful and achievable for learners who may be completely new to the subject
• Supporting 1–3 sessions per month (you choose which)

Who this is perfect for

• Retired, semi‑retired, or stepping out of full‑time work
• Real industry experience beats academic post‑nominals every time
• You can explain, not just know — you enjoy seeing the penny drop
• You believe the future workforce should include people who didn’t take the “traditional engineering route”

How we shortlist

Instead of a long interview, we’ll ask you to deliver a 5‑minute mini‑session (on Teams/Zoom) on one simple topic such as:

• What torque is
• What impedance is
• How a p‑n junction works
• How an electrolyser makes hydrogen or a subject you prefer
• (No maths needed — just show how you explain ideas and engage people.)

About the boot‑camps

• 3‑week programme
• 9 sessions total
• You can teach one topic, or several — completely your choice
