What you’ll do
As an Audit Assistant Manager in Beaconsfield, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit services across a broad spectrum of clients.
- Deliver a wide range of audit assignments to an excellent technical standard, ensuring all work meets both internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
- Communicate regularly with managers, principals, and other colleagues to provide updates on progress, address queries, and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and cost-effectively by meeting deadlines and adhering to budgetary constraints while maintaining high-quality output.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior team members by providing guidance, feedback, and support as they develop their skills within the firm.
- Facilitate teamwork by fostering a positive spirit within the group and encouraging open communication among colleagues at all levels.
- Plan, undertake, and finalise statutory audit assignments compliant with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and FRS 102 requirements.
- Monitor costs against budgets for each client engagement to ensure effective fee recovery and financial performance.
- Support the implementation of best practices across audit processes by sharing insights gained from previous assignments and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal procedures by identifying areas for enhancement based on practical experience.
- Engage with clients professionally throughout the audit process to build trust-based relationships and deliver value-added recommendations.
What you bring
To excel as an Audit Assistant Manager in this role, you will bring proven experience from within professional services, ideally having managed end-to-end statutory audits under current UK standards.
- Possess an accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA which demonstrates your technical proficiency in auditing standards.
- Demonstrate substantial experience planning, executing, and completing diverse audit assignments within a professional services environment.
- Showcase familiarity with statutory audits conducted under FRS 102 as well as compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
- Exhibit strong organisational skills that enable you to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and budgetary targets.
- Display excellent interpersonal abilities that allow you to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels as well as clients from various industries.
- Provide evidence of mentoring or supervising junior staff members by offering constructive feedback and supporting their career progression.
- Illustrate your capacity for monitoring costs against budgets during client engagements to ensure optimal fee recovery.
- Highlight any prior exposure to accounts assignments under FRS 102 Section 1A or FRS 105 as well as specialist audits or IFRS if applicable.
