iO have partnered with an SME in their search for an experienced Automation Engineer to support a secure cloud platform within the defence/security domain.

Clearance: SC minimum (will look to put you through DV)

Rate: Up to £600 / day Outside IR35

Location: 3 days / week in Farnborough

Essential Skills

• Strong Windows and Linux sysadmin background.
• Proficiency in programming & scripting(e.g. Python, JavaScript, Go, Java, PowerShell, Bash etc.)
• Experience with virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware, Proxmox).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g. Aria Suite, Rundeck).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
