Job Title - AWS Application Architect (with Hands-on Development)

Job Location - Remote + travel to London, Leeds

Experience - 15+ years

Job Type - Contract outside IR 35

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document robust, scalable, and secure application architectures leveraging core AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
• Develop and deploy critical application components, PoCs, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using languages like Python/Node.js and tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Lead the technical strategy for application modernization and cloud migration.
• Enforce architectural best practices, code quality, and security standards across development teams.
• Collaborate with business and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into actionable technical designs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS.
• Strong background in a programming language (e.g., Python, Java) and modern development practices.
• Expertise in serverless, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or Developer certification.
• Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.
