Base pay range
A well established software company are seeking an Azure Consultant to join their team! This is a hybrid technical and pre-sales role that involves a mix of customer engagement and being hands-on with Azure. If you're someone with Azure/pre-sales experience, whom actively speaks with customers, who is comfortable writing posts, blogs etc, and is eager to learn. Then, this opportunity could be for you.
Although the role is remote, there will be client travel as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with sales and customer success teams to deliver engaging technical demos and workshops.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts and demo environments that showcase product capabilities and value.
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand their Azure environments, identify challenges, and uncover opportunities for cost optimisation and improved observability.
- Build, manage, and maintain reusable Azure demo environments across key services (e.g. App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Data Factory).
- Troubleshoot customer issues and recommend effective technical solutions.
- Leverage both the company’s product and native Azure tools to identify and implement optimisations for cost efficiency, performance, and reliability.
- Utilise Azure monitoring and infrastructure tools (Log Analytics, Application Insights, Alerts, Automation, Resource Health) to enhance solution design and delivery.
- Produce high‑quality blogs, videos, and technical guides focused on Azure cost management, monitoring, and integration best practices.
- Contribute to webinars, documentation, and community initiatives to drive product awareness and adoption.
- Support the development of technical storytelling and educational content that communicates the value and impact of our solutions.
Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, ideally across services such as:
- Monitoring & Management: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Infrastructure Management.
- Strong understanding of Azure governance, performance optimisation, and operational monitoring.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and business stakeholders.
- Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset, with a proactive and positive approach to problem‑solving.
- Proven experience in building demos, proofs‑of‑concept, or customer‑focused technical solutions.
- Genuine interest in developing FinOps expertise and advancing knowledge in Azure cost management.
- Awareness of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimisation methodologies.
- Experience with DevOps practices or Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
- Familiarity with KQL or SQL for analytics, diagnostics, and reporting.
- Background in pre‑sales, customer success, or consulting roles.
- Scripting or development experience in C#, PowerShell, or Python.
