This role has a starting salary of £41,585 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week. Whilst this is a full-time position, we are also open to consider part-time applications. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract / secondment opportunity.

We are excited to be hiring an Behavioural Insights Researcher and Development Worker with a focus on Men's Mental Health to join our fantastic Public Health Team. The team is based in Woodhatch with flexible working and a hybrid approach.

About the Team

The Public Health team in Surrey is forward-looking with a strong focus on improving the health and wellbeing of our county's population and reducing health inequalities. SCC Health and Wellbeing Strategy sets out three priorities:

You will be working towards these priorities with a particular focus on supporting the emotional wellbeing of people in Surrey. The role will require work across the system including close partnerships with the Communities Partnerships and Engagement Team at SCC. The role will report to the Public Health Lead for Communities and Workplace and will receive supervision from the Chartered Health Psychologist, Public Health Principal for Mental Health.

About the Role

The Behavioural Insights Researcher and Development Worker for Men's Mental Health will be a varied role. You will have the flexibility to co-ordinate your own diary and your work will focus on the following objectives:

This role offers hybrid and flexible working. You are not required in the office 5 days a week however, leadership, networking, and delivery of training may be required in community venues across Surrey. Training delivery may be required in the evenings, or over the weekend. Team meetings will be held in person at Woodhatch and you will have office space available 5 days a week should you want to work from an office, this includes in Reigate and many other buildings across Surrey.
