Bid Manager - Government Funded Training Projects
£45,000 to £50,000 per annum
Permanent
Home-based with occasional travel.
To be considered you must have strong contacts and a track record of successful bids in Manchester and the North East.
Our client is a leading provider of training and development programmes for the workplace. Their courses vary across disciplines such as business, IT, legal and office skills, and are delivered to individuals looking to improve skills, or on behalf of training within the workplace.
Our client requires an experienced Bid Manager to proactively identify opportunities for the business to bid for, and win, funded training for Government programmes. This will be achieved by building relationships with Authorities and Councils, Universities and Colleges, and Adult Education Providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to bid for funded-training contracts, within the North East regions, and build relationships with key partners to enable this. This will be for direct and partner-bids.
- Ensure the company is assigned to the relevant frameworks to bid.
- Create high quality response for bids, to secure the contracts. Track all bids and applications through the process.
- Work with the senior team to develop future bid strategy, to increase growth.
- Support the product development team in production of courses that meet the requirements for opportunities won.
- Prepare and submit reports around forecasting, cost and win/loss tracking and reporting.
- Focus on continuous improvement across the bid process, promoting best practise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bid writing for grant and funding applications. Ability to demonstrate success with such bids.
- Excellent knowledge of the proposal and funding process within public sector (local council, education).
- Experience working with purchasing portals and tender software.
- Experience in adult education/learning & development, and the AEB funds.
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to create proposals for a variety of opportunities, and to manage multiple projects at one time.
