Job title: Senior Bid Writer / Bid Manager

Location: Bracknell (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) – we may also consider other locations such as Hemel Hempstead or Swanley for the right candidate

Salary range: Competitive Package

What you’ll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing bid team (2 Bid Writers and 1 Bid Executive)
  • Deliver high-quality, compliant, and timely bid submissions
  • Design and implement winning bid strategies
  • Manage the bid pipeline and collaborate with Business Development & Operations
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to support success
  • Drive process improvements and ensure consistency and compliance
  • Track win/loss rates, analyse feedback, and improve performance

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is both a natural leader and a strategic thinker – someone who thrives on collaboration but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on when needed.

  • Proven experience managing the full bid lifecycle in the construction or social housing sector
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop a team
  • Extensive knowledge of UK procurement regulations and processes
  • Experience creating, developing and managing robust bid processes with strong governance
  • Excellent writing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High levels of organisation, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • A proactive approach, with a knack for spotting opportunities and improving processes
  • Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours when needed for deadlines or client engagements
  • A full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable, but not essential

  • Degree-level education or equivalent
