We’re looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join our Property team and help shape the future of our estate. With responsibility for surveying our holiday parks – you’ll ensure our sites remain safe, compliant and well maintained, whilst supporting long-term investment decisions. This is a field-based role with national travel, where no two days are the same: from inspecting pools and park buildings, to advising on capital projects, to influencing sustainability and safety standards. You’ll bring technical expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills and the drive to make a real difference across our portfolio. Responsibilities
- Carry out building surveys across parks as business requires
- Undertake periodic inspections, including pools and prioritised buildings
- Assess and categorise building defects using a RAG rating system
- Maintain up-to-date building registers and floorplans
- Project manage significant remedial works beyond park team scope
- Support business cases and capital budget sign-off processes
- Escalate complex issues to external specialists where required
- Provide clear reporting with budget costings and recommendations
- Contribute to strategy on safety, sustainability and asset lifecycle
- Drive continual improvement by challenging the norm and using data insights
What we’d like you to bring
- Proven professional experience (Ideally in a multisite business)
- Strong knowledge of building surveying practices and regulations
- Proven ability to compile and manage complex budgets
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Data analysis and evidence-based decision-making
- Ability to work independently, with strong organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including MS Office and SharePoint
- Full UK driving licence
