Business Analyst | Energy Trading, Cross Asset, Front Office | £900/Day Outside IR35 | Hybrid, LDN

Business Analyst with strong derivatives knowledge, within energy or commodities trading is needed for a commodities & energy trading firm, covering both physicals & derivative trading.

With continued growth and onboarding new products, inline with regulatory changes, they need a Business Analyst with strong front office experience. This small enterprise company requires knowledge to work on the full project lifecycle covering business requirements analysis, functional specification of changes, testing as required, and support of UAT. Experience within a SME with a fast‑paced environment is also preferred.

This is a Business / Front Office facing role, so excellent communication skills are required, working with all levels of seniority. Your primary objective is to facilitate the design and implementation of a comprehensive system that consolidates trade‑lifecycle events, delivering near real‑time exposure and position data across multiple commodities.

This role can pay up to £900/Day Outside IR35

2‑3 days per week in the office

Based in Liverpool Street

Energy / Commodities Derivatives, Options knowledge, Future & Forwards, Greeks

As a Front Office Business Analyst with strong derivatives knowledge, you will work closely with stakeholders across front office desks (LNG, Carbon, Gas & power) to define and document scope and design of the platform. Managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations to ensure project deliverables align with strategic goals.

Leading workshops to gather requirements, understand trade lifecycle events, and align expectations with business needs.

Working closely with IT, translating business requirements into tech, collaborating with Application Support Analysts, Developers, UAT team, and Architects.
