As a Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for supporting technology projects by gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring solutions meet the needs of the business.
Working closely with the Project Manager and project teams, you'll act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to enable successful project delivery and value realisation.
This is a full-time, temporary role due to last approximately 3 months. Please note this role is based remotely within the UK, with occasional travel to our Cornwall head offices.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with business stakeholders across operations, IT, and commercial teams to gather and clarify requirements.
- Analysing business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement enabled by technology.
- Documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitating workshops, interviews, and walk throughs to validate requirements and drive consensus.
- Supporting solution design and ensuring alignment with business needs and constraints.
- Collaborating with project teams to support testing, issue resolution, and user acceptance.
- Assisting in change impact assessments and helping to prepare training and communication materials.
- Maintaining requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of business analysis practices and templates.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience working alongside technology project teams.
- Experience eliciting and documenting requirements for technology projects in retail or commercial settings.
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders to understand needs and drive consensus.
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall environments, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience supporting testing phases and business readiness activities.
- Comfortable using Business Analytics tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Attention to detail in documentation and requirements management.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with process mapping and modelling techniques.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams.
