What The Day Will Look Like

As a Business Development Manager at ACS, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth within the Trade Credit market. Daily, you will utilize Aon's extensive network to build a self-generated pipeline and contribute to the ACS sales strategy. Your responsibilities will include promoting ACS within Aon, representing ACS in the insurance market, and exploring cross-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Build a self-generated pipeline using opportunities within ACS and Aon's wider network to drive new business development.
  • Utilize ‘Aon Connect’ to manage your pipeline and new opportunities.
  • Proactively promote ACS within Aon and represent ACS professionally in the insurance market.
  • Contribute to ACS sales strategy, build relationships across Aon, and explore cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage prospect sales cycles and coordinate prospect activity to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers.
  • Understand prospect industries and risks, identifying client needs and matching them with Aon.
  • Articulate the value delivered by Aon and lead market negotiations successfully.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and economic conditions.
  • Develop risk financing strategies, including program design and marketing, to meet prospect needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures.

Skills And Experience

  • Consistent record in B2B sales and new business development.
  • Experience in the Trade Credit market or related finance/insurance markets is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to close self-generated opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ambition, drive, and flexibility to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Ability to utilize insurance industry IT systems efficiently.
  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
