You’ll play a key role in expanding market share across Europe, with full ownership of your pipeline, targets, and strategy. Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities

Identify and target new clients and markets to drive lead generation.

Conduct detailed market analysis to understand customer needs and trends.

Create and execute go-to-market strategies to open up new revenue streams.

Maintain an active pipeline, track activity in the CRM, and manage prospects through to close. 2. Client Engagement & Account Management

Build meaningful, long-term relationships with key clients.

Act as a trusted advisor – understanding client objectives and shaping solutions to match.

Lead negotiations for supply contracts and ensure client satisfaction throughout the delivery process.

Maintain regular communication and manage expectations effectively. 3. Strategic Planning

Contribute to the development and execution of commercial strategies aligned with business goals.

Analyse competitive landscapes and market movements to inform decision-making.

Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and long-term growth within existing accounts. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with internal teams – including marketing, operations, and procurement – to ensure seamless service delivery.

Support smooth onboarding of new clients and transition into long-term partnerships. 5. Reporting & Insights

Provide weekly sales updates and pipeline forecasts.

Monitor and report on key industry developments, competitor activity, and potential threats.

Ensure CRM data is accurate and up-to-date for reporting and analysis purposes. Business Development Manager Requirements

Demonstrable success in business development or sales roles within the plastics, recycling, or related sectors.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a flair for building trust and long-lasting partnerships.

Knowledge of PET plastics and familiarity with relevant technical and regulatory standards.

Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a focus on results.

Comfortable using tech and CRM tools; willing to adapt to new platforms.

Thrives in remote, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environments.

Willingness to travel within Europe for client meetings and industry events. This is a remote opportunity, so the successful candidate can be based anywhere in Europe with occasional travel to events and conferences across the region.
