We are excited to partner with a leading nationwide contractor specialising in high-quality commercial refurbishment projects, with a focus on sectors ranging from care homes, education, universities, student accommodations and the hotel and leisure industries.

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to generate new business opportunities and secure exciting new projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships
• Proactively generate leads and conduct cold outreach to prospective clients
• Build and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients
• Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions to meet their requirements
• Think and plan strategically to support business development goals
• Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional strategies and activities
• Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences to stay informed on market trends
• Develop and manage a sales pipeline, driving the business towards increased revenue
• Prepare sales forecasts, conduct analysis, and present insights to senior management

What you'll need to apply:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a BDM or sales role, with a background in construction being highly desirable
• A proactive mindset with a strong drive to seek out new business and consistently meet or exceed targets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building lasting client relationships
• Strong presentation and report-writing skills
• Confidence in presenting to clients
• Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
