Business Development Manager – Infrastructure Technology (Remote / North-Based)
The Opportunity
An innovative, data-driven technology company is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to help accelerate growth across key sectors such as local authorities, utilities, telecoms, and infrastructure services. Their award-winning platform harnesses high-definition imagery, connected vehicle data, and AI-powered analytics to deliver real-time insights into the UK’s physical infrastructure.

The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and winning new business opportunities across both public and private sector clients. You'll work closely with the leadership and technical teams to craft value-led propositions that solve real-world infrastructure challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Targeting and developing relationships with senior stakeholders (e.g. Heads of Highways, Asset Managers, Directors of Infrastructure).
- Managing the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract close.
- Working with internal teams to understand evolving product capabilities and market alignment.
- Representing the business at industry events, conferences, and through webinars or thought leadership.
- Providing market insight to shape go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a proactive, consultative BDM with a passion for infrastructure innovation and the ability to build relationships with technical and strategic buyers.
- Proven experience in business development or consultative sales within infrastructure, SaaS, highways, geospatial data, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement or utilities/telecoms operations.
- Ability to sell complex technology solutions with long sales cycles.
- Confident communicator who can present to senior stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, structured, and results-oriented.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with road asset management, mapping, or survey technology.
- Familiarity with digital twins, AI-powered platforms, or condition monitoring tools
