Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Business Development Representative (UK). As our UK‑based BDR, you’ll be the front line of our growth engine. You’ll own prospect outreach, qualification and pipeline‑building, setting the stage for our senior leadership to close deals. You will be responsible for inside sales activities, lead generation, and cultivating relationships with potential clients. Day-to-day tasks include initiating and managing sales conversations, identifying new business opportunities, and assisting in the development and execution of sales strategies. The representative will work collaboratively with the sales team to meet and exceed company targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Outreach:
- Identify and research target accounts in the UK/EU
- Execute cold‑call and cold‑email cadences
- Send personalized InMails and connection requests on LinkedIn
Lead Qualification & Handoff:
- Conduct 15–30min discovery calls or video meetings
- Document pain points, budgets and timelines in our CRM
- Qualify and prep leads
- Maintain accurate records
- Track and report on weekly KPIs: calls made, emails sent, meetings booked, qualified opportunities
- Analyze outreach performance and suggest improvements to messaging and targeting
- Work with Marketing to tailor proposals, one‑pagers and slide decks
- Provide feedback on messaging effectiveness and messaging templates
Networking & Events:
- Represent the firm at industry meetups, webinars, and conferences
- Build relationships with potential referral partners and ecosystem contacts
Qualifications
- 0-3 years experience in B2B outbound sales & lead generation
- Proficiency in Inside Sales and Business Development skills
- Experience with Lead Generation techniques and strategies
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Relevant experience in risk management, governance, or consulting sectors is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred
