This expanding US law firm has an exciting and newly created opportunity for a Business Development & Marketing Specialist to be part of their new look BD team and plans for the London & European regions. • £55,000 - £60,000 plus excellent employee benefits including generous holiday allowance, pension, and medical insurance
• Hybrid working - 3 days in, 2 remote - Hours 9.30-5.30

This role will suit a current Marketing Business Development Coordinator looking to take on more responsibility and gain direct experience in a smaller setting. The Business Development & Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in directly supporting the newly hired BD Director and CMO with all London and European marketing and business development initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with lawyers and leaders across all the London and European departments and support on special projects and share best practice intelligence.

Business Development & Marketing Specialist duties;

• Create and maintain tailored materials for various business development opportunities, including pitches, client presentations, attorney biographies, RFPs, and other client-facing materials
• Identify and execute in-person events and webinars
• Research hot topics and thought leadership opportunities
• Maintain representative engagement and client lists (by practice and industry) for new business development opportunities
• Ensure the firm’s website and library of collateral materials are updated regularly to reflect experience and expertise.
• Gather business intelligence and research for current and prospective clients, as well as gather competitive intelligence for key practice areas and industries
• Produce directory submissions for assigned practice areas (Chambers, Legal 500, etc.)
• Identify relevant marketing opportunities and BD activities, such as speaking engagements and awards
• Maintain the CRM database by helping to consolidate our matter capture process, including matter experience for assigned practice groups

Business Development & Marketing Specialist requirements;

• Legal industry business developer and/or marketer with a minimum of years in a corporate law firm environment, preferably with exposure to Funds
• Strong academics, studying towards marketing qualifications a plus
• Results-driven, proactive, enthusiastic, imaginative, and a strong influencer
