Who are we?
WRAP is a global environmental action NGO championing the shift towards a circular economy, fundamentally reshaping how we produce, consume, and manage resources. Our vision is a world transformed, in which Circular Living is commonplace. Where the systems that provide our everyday goods contribute to the world's prosperity and sustainability instead of reducing it.
WRAP is driving Circular Living through four key areas: accelerating the circular economy, future-proofing food, preventing problem plastics and transforming textiles. We catalyse action from policy makers, businesses, NGOs and citizens to make it happen.
We have offices in the UK, USA and Australia, and live projects in over 30 countries.
Join us at WRAP and you'll drive important change to make Circular Living the norm.
The role
Are you passionate about sustainability and ready to make a real difference in the food and drink industry? We’re looking for a dynamic Business Engagement Officer – Food to help power our mission.
In this vital role, you’ll be at the heart of The UK Food and Drink Pact, a trailblazing voluntary agreements that unites businesses to reduce food waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Working closely with our expert teams — from Business Account Managers to Specialists and Project Delivery professionals — you’ll help bring new signatories on board, track their progress and keep the momentum strong through powerful engagement and communication.
From supporting the team to organise high-impact events and gather inspiring success stories, to supporting data-driven decision-making, forecasting and invoicing, and keeping stakeholders connected — you’ll be instrumental in delivering business-led sustainability at scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating the onboarding journey for new signatories, streamline communication, and ensure smooth data collection and management. You’ll also help refine the tools we use to engage businesses and keep everything running like clockwork.
- Supporting our Comms team, you’ll help shine a spotlight on success stories, innovations, and best practices. You’ll ensure our websites and member areas are fresh, informative, and engaging — and that our newsletters are packed with timely, impactful content.
- Design and deliver webinars, working groups, and our flagship annual summit. From logistics to content planning, slide decks and actions trackers, you’ll support the team to help keep events running smoothly; professional, purposeful, and energising for signatories across the UK food and drink industry.
- Using tools like Salesforce, you’ll be a key part of our timely data management - keeping a close eye on status of invoices, spend and resource forecasts, track signatory progress against plans and milestones, and support the annual reporting and benchmarking process.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a collaborative communicator who thrives in a business engagement or account management setting and enjoys working with data — ideally with experience in the charity or non-profit world. A background in sustainability is a bonus, but it’s your skills, mindset, and energy that matter most to us. This role could be ideal for you if you:
- Are highly organised and have successfully worked across teams and departments to coordinate activities, gather and communicate key information, and keep everyone aligned.
- Communicate with clarity and integrity and can influence outcomes
- Are confident using tools like Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Salesforce to keep things organised and efficient.
- Your attention to detail is top-notch, and you know how to prioritise tasks with competing deadlines
- Know how to build and manage great relationships with both internal teams and external partners
Ready to lead the way to circular living?
If you think you have what it takes but your experience looks different to what is advertised, please still apply. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of your age, race, gender, neurodiversity, ability, beliefs, sexuality, or personal preferences.
We want to help you be your best, so please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustments during the recruitment process.
