Job Description
Business Lead & Events Manager – Southern Region - HYBRID
Not-for-Profit Energy Industry Leader
£40,000 - £42,000 + Excellent Benefits | Hybrid (London HQ) | UK Travel | 35-Hour Week
Run events with purpose. Work with balance. Shape the UK energy conversation.
We’re working exclusively with a leading not-for-profit membership organisation that champions the UK energy supply chain. They’re hiring a proactive, commercially minded Business Lead & Events Manager to lead their regional events programme across London, Southampton, Birmingham, and South Wales.
You’ll own the end-to-end delivery of ~8 events per year, from developing agendas and securing speakers to managing budgets, sponsors, and delegate engagement. These events aren’t box-ticking exercises — they’re highly visible, content-driven forums that connect the sector and support strategy.
Why this role stands out
- Work for a purpose-led NGO, not a profit-driven business
- Autonomy to shape your own events portfolio and engage senior stakeholders
- Join a collaborative team with a flexible, trust-based culture
- True work-life balance with a 35-hour working week and early Friday finishes
- Represent a respected industry voice with reach
Benefits that support your work and your life
- 25 days’ holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Additional holidays after 3 and 5 years’ service
- 5% employer pension contribution
- Private medical insurance (post-probation)
- Life assurance
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Long service recognition
- Hybrid working with flexibility: ideally 1–2 days a week in the London office
- Flex around events: some weeks may require more travel, others less — it's about trust and balance
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years in event management or business development
- Strong communicator with confidence recruiting speakers and managing stakeholders
- Highly organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working independently
- Genuine interest in the energy sector (experience helpful but not required)
- Location:
- England, United Kingdom
- Salary:
- £60,000 - £80,000
- Category:
- Management & Operations
