Role Profile – Business Support Manager to CEO UK & Ireland
Reports To: CEO of UK & Ireland
Location: Bristol – hybrid role, expected to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week
Term: This is a fixed-term cover likely to run until April 2026. Part-time working will be considered, but a minimum of 25 hours per week/daily support is required.
Start date: We are looking for the right candidate to start in mid-August to allow a 4-6 week handover with the current postholder.

About
This dual role combines skills of a Business Support Manager and a PA. You will oversee and coordinate administrative and operational support services, ensuring efficient office operations, supporting senior leadership with project and performance tracking, and improving internal processes.
You will provide high-level personal support to ensure the effective functioning of the CEO, acting as a gatekeeper, problem-solver, and coordinator while handling confidential tasks with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative functions across teams for seamless support.
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and support project delivery through planning, reporting, and stakeholder liaison.
- Provide high-level support to senior management, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
- Communicate with vendors, service providers, and external stakeholders.
- Diary & Calendar Management: Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring the CEO is well-prepared.
- Travel Coordination: Arrange domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation, transport, and itineraries.
- Communication Management: Handle correspondence, filter inquiries, and manage emails, calls, and messages.
- Meeting Support: Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions, with proven experience essential.
- Documentation & Filing: Maintain and organise files, records, and confidential documents securely.
- Event Planning: Support or lead the planning and execution of events and functions.

Successful candidates will be proactive, anticipate needs, and stay several steps ahead in a fast-paced environment. The ability to think quickly, adapt to shifting priorities, and make calm, resourceful decisions under pressure is vital. Building strong, trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders is fundamental. A solution-focused mindset is crucial; you'll actively seek opportunities to streamline processes, solve problems, and improve efficiencies to support team success.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in business support, operations, or administrative management roles.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, with ability to work with house style.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Nice-to-have skills
- PowerPoint expertise.
