Overview
Business Support Officer – Care Leaver Council Tax at Norfolk County Council. This is a hybrid role based in Norwich with a secondment opportunity / temporary contract until 31 August 2026. Part-time 18.5 hours per week. Salary £25,853 to £25,989 pro rata per annum. Grade D.
This will be a hybrid position and when required to attend the office this will predominantly be County Hall. We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our QA HUB Team on a 12 month temporary basis as a Business Support Officer within Children’s Services. In this vital role, you will deliver high quality administrative support focused on Council Tax Exemption for young people. Your responsibilities will include maintaining records, managing financial processes and building effective relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage Council Tax Exemption queries for care leavers
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including care leavers, PAs, social workers, and local authorities
- Support financial administration and reporting
- Coordinate and maintain data using spreadsheets and other tools
- Produce reports and management information as required
Qualifications
- Sharp eye for detail and a structured, methodical approach to work
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals and provide excellent customer service
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage a variety of tasks
- Strong administrative experience, proficiency in IT systems, and clear, confident communication skills
