FINTEC recruit is seeking a Buyerwith proven experience in Mechanical and Electrical procurement on behalf of our client a leading M&E contractor.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile, multi-million-pound construction project based inBridgwater.

This role offershybrid working(minimum 3 days on-site)

Salary up to £50k depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Procurement Manager and Senior Buyers in achieving project procurement goals.
• Lead procurement for assigned contracts and tender packages.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with MEP systems and project timelines.
• Maintain and communicate procurement schedules to stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance and gather feedback to enhance supply chain decisions.
• Apply M&E knowledge to inform purchasing decisions and support estimating processes.
• Use procurement tools and systems to deliver value and meet project milestones.

Skills and Experience required for the Buyer role:

• Experience in procurement or buying within M&E, building services, or construction.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction project needs.
• Excellent IT and communication skills for managing documentation and schedules.
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
