Overview C# Software Developer is a key role within a growing technology team supporting and enhancing a fuel delivery software platform using C#, SQL Server and Azure-based solutions. We welcome candidates with experience in related roles: Software Engineer, Web Developer, Systems Developer, Cloud Engineer, Back-End Developer. Location and Role Details Location: Hybrid / Manchester, North West England (M17) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times around core hours of 9:30am to 4:30pm. What you'll do We have a fantastic opportunity for a C# Software Developer to work as part of a close-knit development team maintaining and enhancing a cloud-based fuel delivery solution. You will work on a back-office platform with a web front end integrated with third-party APIs and Android mobile applications. You will use your knowledge of programming, databases, and cloud services to develop robust, scalable software. You will need excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and confidence in customer-facing situations to support the company’s ongoing digital transformation. DUTIES
Develop And Enhance: Maintain and improve a cloud-based fuel delivery platform built using C# and SQL Server Collaborate With Team: Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions Integrate Systems: Connect with third-party APIs and remote Android devices using synchronisation and notification services Design And Implement: Create and refine database designs and UI components for a seamless user experience Manage Code: Utilise source control tools such as Git for effective version management Follow Agile Methods: Work within an Agile development environment ensuring timely delivery of project milestones Provide Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application issues both independently and as part of a team Engage With Clients: Communicate progress and technical updates to customers and stakeholders
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL
Proven experience of developing applications in C# within a commercial environment Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based architecture Knowledge of SQL Server including database design and implementation Experience integrating APIs and mobile platforms Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle Experience using Agile methodologies and Git source control Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
DESIRABLE
Experience in customer-facing roles or liaising directly with clients Knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools Previous experience within the fuel delivery or logistics sector Full UK driving licence and passport for occasional travel
