Role

Category Manager

Alexander Steele are working with an award winning, successful food manufacturer. The business supply their high quality branded and own label foods into the UK’s major retailers.

On Offer

• £60-65k + car allowance + bonus + benefits
• Mostly home based with 1-2 days per week in Midlands office

Job Purpose

A hands-on, customer facing category role, working alongside the commercial team managing and growing business primarily with the UK retailers, but also supporting the Business Development and Export functions.

To lead category thinking within the business and add value to both the business and their customers, feeding into strategy development. To support sales and marketing by generating consumer and category insight through the analysis of continuous market data, qualitative and quantitative research and observation of trends and activity in the market.

Experience and skills required

• Category management experience within food manufacturing
• Kantar, Neilsen, Circana or Dunnhumby experience
• Commercial acumen with customer facing expertise
