Category Specialist – Procurement (Engineering Spare Parts)

Function: Finance & Procurement

Location: Any HEINEKEN UK Site (Hereford, Manchester or Tadcaster) / Office (London or Edinburgh) (Hybrid – a mix of office and home working)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 base depending on experience + performance bonus plus full benefits listed below

Contract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract starting October 2025 – April 2025)

About the Role

We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Category Specialist to take ownership of Engineering Spare Parts procurement across our dynamic brewery sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring operational continuity and efficiency in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. You’ll be the go-to expert for sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimisation within the engineering spare parts category. This is a newly created role which offers the opportunity to design, develop and implement new ways of working to support our brewery operations.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the development and execution of category strategies for spare parts, working closely with engineering, maintenance, and site operations teams to understand technical requirements and ensure timely availability of critical components. Your role will involve managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities for standardisation and cost savings. With a strong focus on data and performance, you’ll track KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the category.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone with a solid background in procurement or supply chain, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You’ll need excellent stakeholder engagement skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to juggle priorities across multiple sites. Our ways of working

This role is office based, we currently operate a hybrid working framework which allows us to capture the benefits of both working in the office and at home. For full-time roles, we work a minimum of 3 days in the office – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with Monday and Friday being our work-from-home days.
