Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – SaaS / EdTech / Private Equity

We're seeking a forward-thinking technology leader with a passion for scaling innovative digital platforms to join this high-growth, private equity-backed software group that is building a diverse portfolio of B2B SaaS businesses across the education and workforce development space.

With ambitious plans to significantly scale over the next five years, we’re looking for a strategic, commercially astute Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join the exec leadership team.

This is a critical executive role, with significant equity available, offering the chance to shape the technology direction of a fast-growing group of products and teams.

What You Do

  • Develop and own the technology vision and roadmap across a multi-brand SaaS portfolio.
  • Drive adoption of modern technologies, including AI and automation, to enhance product capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Lead technical due diligence and post-acquisition integration as the group continues its M&A activity.
  • Build and foster a strong, unified engineering culture across distributed teams and legacy structures.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and investors, aligning tech strategy with commercial objectives.

What You Bring

  • A track record of success in scaling SaaS technology teams and platforms in a senior leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, etc.).
  • Experience (or strong familiarity) with M&A, integrations, and platform consolidation.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing tech organisations through change and growth.
  • A commercial and strategic mindset—comfortable in the boardroom as well as with engineers.
  • Strong interest in leveraging emerging technologies such as AI to drive innovation and performance.

The Opportunity

  • Private equity-backed with a clear 5-year growth plan.
  • Highly collaborative executive team and ambitious long-term vision.
  • Significant equity participation on offer.
  • Remote-first culture with occasional travel to in-person leadership sessions (within the UK).

If you're ready to take on a broad, impactful role at the intersection of technology, product and business strategy, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now to explore this opportunity in more detail.
