Role Overview

The CISO Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing enterprise-wide security architecture. This position bridges technical and business teams, translating security requirements into actionable designs that support secure development lifecycles. The architect ensures that solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with Euroclear\'s strategic goals

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement security solutions aligned with enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Provide technical security guidance to IT and business teams.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineering to develop high-level security designs for new applications and platforms.
  • Define architecture principles, tools, and standards for the assigned security domain (e.g., Cloud, Application & Platform Security).
  • Translate business requirements and risk assessments into security architecture requirements.
  • Facilitate consistent application of security best practices across projects.
  • Participate in high-level IT and operational process design discussions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and go-to person for the assigned security domain.
  • Detect unaddressed security needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support secure technology adoption and innovation.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Proven experience in security architecture and enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security (Azure, AWS), application security, and infrastructure protection.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and architecture alignment across release trains.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and technologies like Kafka.

Assets:

  • Experience in financial services or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to mentor and build security awareness across teams.

About the Team

As a global critical financial infrastructure, the protection of Euroclear information and assets is fundamental to the companys\' business. Security is at the core of our services, firmly embedded in the management systems and processes of the company. You will be joining our Chief Information Security Office (CISO) in charge of putting in place the required controls to adequately and effectively protect our information assets.
