Role purpose
With the formation of a dedicated Claims Data & Analytics team, a new position has been created for a Claims Analytics Manager to support the Head of Claims Data & Analytics by leading an analytics area within the Claims department (Motor and Home). The role focuses on leveraging data to drive insights, improving claims handling efficiency, and supporting efficiency and indemnity improvement initiatives. You will act as a crucial link between the claims function and wider areas of the business such as Pricing and Actuarial, ensuring emerging trends are anticipated, quantified and communicated.
Responsibilities
- Lead on an area of the analytics function within the Claims department (Motor and Home).
- Analyse claims data to identify trends and patterns.
- Produce materials for input to the Long-Term Pricing Process and other senior management meetings.
- Track and report on the benefits of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Claims Operations Managers and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Establish key performance metrics to monitor claims data performance.
- Regularly track and report on the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports; provide training and support to the wider claims team to enhance data literacy and analytical capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data analytics within the Personal Lines Insurance market.
- Ability to motivate and develop Analysts and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex messages to Executive and Delivery Team levels.
- Proficiency in data storytelling and designing clear presentations.
