Join to apply for the Clinical Lead role at Oviva
At Oviva, we’re on a mission to make sustainable, personalized, clinically effective care accessible to everyone. Our digital programmes support people living with weight-related illnesses. While weight loss is a goal for many, our approach is about so much more: improving health, building confidence, and enhancing quality of life.
We’ve already supported over one million people across the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and Poland – and we’re just getting started. Every conversation, coaching session, and line of code brings us closer to a healthier future. Join us, and be part of the team making that future possible.
The Role
This role provides strategic clinical leadership for Oviva’s psychology pathway within the Tier 3 weight management service, with a strong focus on pathway design, innovation, and clinical quality improvement. The post-holder will lead the ongoing development of the psychology pathway, ensuring interventions are evidence-based, effective, and integrated within a digital-first, multidisciplinary model of care. Rather than direct patient delivery, this role focuses on designing, evaluating, and optimising clinical processes to enhance patient outcomes — including improvements in psychological wellbeing, engagement, and weight-loss results.
Ideal candidates will be experienced Clinical Psychologists with a background in Tier 3 weight management and eating disorders, bringing expertise in service design, outcome measurement, and innovation within digital or multidisciplinary healthcare settings. You will not be responsible for direct clinical delivery or supervision, but will work closely with internal clinical and safeguarding teams to understand care gaps, evaluate intervention success, and shape future pathways, training, and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Pathway Leadership: Lead the psychology pathway within Oviva’s Tier 3 service, ensuring best clinical practice and measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
Clinical Quality & Effectiveness: Oversee and evaluate the quality of psychological input across the pathway, ensuring interventions align with evidence-based guidelines and contribute to measurable improvements in outcomes such as engagement and weight loss.
Supervision & Clinical Support: Provide expert clinical supervision to junior psychologists, PWPs, and safeguarding teams (no line management), ensuring high standards of psychological care and clinical governance.
Pathway Design & Innovation: Shape and optimise triage and clinical pathways through evidence review, data analysis, and competitor insights — embedding innovative, digital-first solutions that improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Be an active member of the weekly MDT and lead BED (Binge Eating Disorder) reviews to ensure cohesive, psychologically informed patient care.
Strategic Partnership: Sit in the Tier 3 Pathway Squad, working closely with the Pathway Lead, Dietetic Lead, and Medical Lead to align clinical design with service goals and performance metrics.
Service Development: Drive continuous improvement through data-driven evaluation of clinical outcomes, supporting Oviva’s mission to deliver safe, effective, and scalable digital healthcare.
